About Us
You’ll find all you need for your business to thrive at
The Box, LLC, Stayton Oregon’s co-working business center!
What is Co-working?
Co-working in a shared space provides the essential office set-up required to be productive, without the high cost of a traditional office. At The Box, entrepreneurs, start-ups, small businesses and free-spirits work in an inspired environment surrounded by other professionals. Our memberships include access to a fully-equipped office space, The Box’s conference room, and a comfortable, modern lobby where you can welcome your clients with a cup of fresh brewed coffee.
Out of the Home Office, into a Professional Environment!
The Box is located in the historic Beauchamp Dance Hall’s newly remodeled second floor, overlooking Stayton’s downtown business district. Our spacious 50 x 25-foot space features the building’s original structural elements and sophisticated décor for a modern professional setting. The building’s eight double-hung, wood-framed windows with their original glass panels allow natural light to fill the room, and the postmodern airport seating acquired from the PDX airport provides the unique look of an office space, without a typical cubicle in sight!
Glass, Steel, and Concrete: The Beauchamp Building History
In 1913, Pharmacist Clarence Albirto (C.A.) Beauchamp built a two-story building of glass, steel, and concrete on the corner lot of North Third Avenue and East High Street. Mr. Beauchamp’s pharmacy occupied the first floor until 1946, while the second floor was used as a dance hall that brought the community together for decades.
The Beauchamp Building is distinctive for its lavish use of glass on both floors. Tall, rectangular transom windows crowning the street-facing windows wrap around the outside of the building and the 14-foot tall ceilings inside make it one of the most recognizable buildings in the area.
The Box, LLC carries on the Beauchamp Building’s tradition of bringing the local community together through a shared workspace for Stayton’s professionals.
